A talented, versatile, and popular racehorse, Latency won five racing championships in Argentina including honors as the nation’s Horse of the Year in 2007. Unfortunately, Latency got far more limited opportunities at stud than his racing stature deserved, and he was unable to beget anything approaching his own merit.

Fun facts
- Latency was the first Argentine horse to win the Gran Premio Latinoamericano outside of Argentina. (A Group 1 event, the Gran Premio Latinoamericano rotates between South America’s major racing nations. The only Group 1 race on the international calendar to rotate between tracks and countries, it was originally known as the Gran Premio Asociación Latinoamericana de Jockey Clubes e Hipódromos).
- In between his 2009 and 2010 racing seasons, Latency covered nine mares, siring six foals from his efforts.
