A high-class filly who won three Grade 1 races as a 3-year-old (including an 11-length romp in the Coaching Club American Oaks), Music Note saw her shot at both a sweep of the New York Triple Tiara and a championship in the American sophomore filly division blocked by the length of Proud Spell’s head after a pulsating stretch duel in the Alabama Stakes (USA-G1). Music Note came back at 4 to add two more Grade 1 trophies to her collection and has been a Grade 1 producer as a broodmare.

Foaled in Kentucky, Music Note was bred by Gainsborough Farm. She was owned by Godolphin Racing and was trained by Saeed bin Suroor. She was ridden to her Coaching Club American Oaks score by her regular pilot, Javier Castellano.
