Shy Spirit never raced, but she more than made up for her lack of racetrack honors during her broodmare career. Emulating her half sister, 1989 Canadian Broodmare of the Year Passing Mood, she produced a Canadian Triple Crown winner and Canadian Horse of the Year and in so doing earned a Sovereign Award for herself.
