Stepping Stone showed so little interest in racing when she was in early training under James “Sunny Jin” Fitzsimmons that she was never actually tried on the track. As a broodmare, however, she did her share to contribute to the high reputation of Princequillo mares, producing three stakes winners and becoming the second dam of two champions and a European Classic winner.
