Family 13-d
A foundation mare for Emory Alexander Hamilton’s breeding program, Too Chic was probably worth the US$100,000 given for her at the 1980 Fasig-Tipton Select Summer sale on pedigree alone. With her bloodlines and a Grade 1 win on her resume, she was even more obvious as a top broodmare prospect in spite of being less than perfect physically. With a champion, a Grade 1 winner, and a graded stakes producer on her resume as a producer, she lived up to her promise, and her daughter Chic Shirine stands at the head of a burgeoning family of her own.
