Sired by two-time Chilean champion sire and American Grade 1 winner Scat Daddy from a stakes-winning full sister to two Chilean champions, Wapi was expected to be something special. She was, earning a championship of her own as a 3-year-old after winning Chilean Classics against her own sex and against males. She was unable to transfer her Chilean form to the United States and had only a brief broodmare career.

She was resold at the 2017 Keeneland November mixed sale for US$1.05 million while in foal to Curlin, going to Don Alberto Stable and Three Chimneys Farm. She died of colic in July 2019.
Pedigree notes
Wapi is inbred 5x3x4 to two-time American champion sire Mr. Prospector, 5x5 to the great international sire Northern Dancer, and 5x5 to American champion turf horse Hawaii. We Can Leave is also a half sister to Wiki (by Scat Daddy), dam of 2023 Premio Tanteo de Potrillos (CHI-G1) winner Soqui.
We Can Leave and her siblings are out of the winner Weekend Leave, a half sister to multiple listed stakes winner Extend (by Unbridled’s Song) and to Migrate (by Storm Bird), dam of Grade 2 winner Warning Zone (by Chester House).
