Majestic Light (USA) x Uncommitted (USA), by Buckpasser (USA)
Family 8-h
A big, handsome bay horse, the aptly named Wavering Monarch inherited a goodly measure of the talent running on both sides of his pedigree but lacked the durability of his sire Majestic Light. Nonetheless, he lasted long enough to become a Grade 1 winner at both 3 and 4. He was a rather inconsistent stallion but managed to get a successor in 1995 American champion 2-year-old male Maria's Mon.

As a stallion

The Blood-Horse credits Wavering Monarch with 41 stakes winners (5.8%). His progeny tended to be precocious, and his daughters achieved some note as broodmares.
Notable progeny
Maria's Mon (USA), Wavering Girl (USA)
Connections
Foaled in Kentucky, Wavering Monarch was bred and owned by the Greathouse family's Glencrest Farm. He was trained by George “Rusty” Arnold. He entered stud at Spendthrift Farm in 1984 and later moved to Glencrest, where he was buried following his humane destruction due to the infirmities of old age.
