Named in honor of Israeli actress Gal Gadot, who played the title role in the highly successful 2017 movie Wonder Woman, Wonder Gadot was probably at least as popular as the actress in Canada. Clearly the best Canadian-bred racehorse of her crop, she also proved a capable racer in the United States. She was exported to Japan as a broodmare following the conclusion of her racing career.

A big, strong, well-balanced dark bay or brown filly of marked athleticism, Wonder Gadot has a powerful body. She won over turf, synthetics, and both fast and sloppy dirt surfaces.
Connections
Foaled in Ontario, Wonder Gadot was bred by Anderson Farms, which sold her for US$80,000 at the 2016 Keeneland September yearling sale. A US$325,000 purchase from the Ocala Breeders' Sales Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training, she was owned by Gary Barber. Trained by Mark Casse. Following her racing career, she sold for US$2 million at Fasig-Tipton's November mixed sale, going to Tomo Nakamura's K I Farm, and was exported to Japan.
