A full or half sister to three stakes winners, Homespun had enough talent of her own to be stakes-placed but was more notable for durability than brilliance. Nonetheless, she was a much better broodmare than racer, producing two Grade or Group 1 winners, and she stands at the head of an important branch of a family tracing back to Belair Stud foundation mare Flambette.
