A member of a high-class Argentine female family, Love for Sale was modestly talented but was a consistent and useful racer at her level, winning six of her 12 races at Argentina’s La Plata race course. She was far better as a broodmare, her three Group 1-winning foals including an Argentine Mare of the Year and a two-time Argentine Stallion of the Year. Unfortunately, her best daughter, champion Star and Stripes, died without issue and her other daughters have not bred on as well as might be hoped.
