I agree, Christy. She was a lovely mare, who like so many of our beloved Thoroughbreds, was euthanized after developing laminitis following an injury.

I'm glad you've been enjoying the site, Diane. I'm not sure how a reliable soundness index could be developed since there are so many factors that go into developing and maintaining a sound horse, but it would certainly be a worthwhile goal. I haven't done a post on Code of Honor so far, but we'll see how the upcoming Derby preps pan out.

Rose of Sharon came to mind. I had to google what year, 1929 dies of shipping fever. Won Illinois Oaks, Kentucky Oaks, Latonia Oaks, Ashland Oaks
