While Stuka had some ability, he scored his lone Grade 1 win courtesy of a controversial disqualification of 1994 American champion handicap male The Wicked North in the Santa Anita Handicap (USA-G1). Stuka was not involved in the interference and was clearly outrun by The Wicked North in the stretch, and his only other graded win was in a Grade 3 race as a juvenile. Without a stellar pedigree to attract mates, he had relatively little opportunity in the United States but fared better following his export to Chile, where he became a champion sire.
