Cosmah received some help from the stewards in becoming a stakes winner, as she inherited her lone black-type win by disqualification. Nonetheless, she was a filly with genuine ability, and she was an even better producer. The Kentucky Broodmare of the Year for 1974, she produced four stakes winners, including a champion and a champion sire, and left a lasting impact through her daughters as well.
