As the best racing daughter of the blue hen Missy Baba, Gay Missile seemed destined to become a good broodmare. She more than fulfilled that destiny, producing four stakes winners and establishing a major branch of the family brought to the United States by her granddam Uvira II.

- Lassie Dear (1974, by Buckpasser) won the 1976 Villager Stakes (USA-G3). She emulated her dam by producing four stakes winners, including Group 1 winner Wolfhound (by Nureyev) and 1992 Kentucky Broodmare of the Year Weekend Surprise (by Secretariat). She is also the dam of the important South African sire Al Mufti (by Roberto) and stakes producers Lassie's Lady (by Alydar), Charming Lassie (by Seattle Slew) and Lassie Connection (by Seattle Slew).
