Family 1-x
Although he was good enough to be a stakes winner, Mutakddim was not quite able to live up to his beautiful breeding on the race course. He made up for it as a sire. Sent to Argentina as a shuttle stallion, he became a champion sire in that country. He also stood in the United States but with less success, though he did get one top North American runner in Lady Tak.
Race record
17 starts, 5 wins, 3 seconds, 2 thirds, US$125,881 (converted from English and French earnings)
1995:
As an individual
An attractive, muscular chestnut, Mutakddim stood 15.3 hands. He had a straight, strong hind leg but was a little short-necked and light on bone. He was game and willing on the track but lacked the sharp turn of foot characteristic of a top European runner; his usual style was to make a sustained bid from about two furlongs out.
As a stallion
According to records kept by The Jockey Club, Mutakddim sired 1106 winners (66.0%) and 124 stakes winners (7.4%) from 1675 named foals of racing age.
