A champion on the race track, Numbered Account gained equally high acclaim as a broodmare. She produced two successful sire sons in Private Account and Polish Numbers and is also a major conduit for the Striking branch of the great La Troienne family.

An attractive, elegant bay mare typical of the progeny of her sire, Numbered Account was "a filly of imposing size and substance" according to Charles Hatton of the Daily Racing Form. Lengthy and leggy, she was generally correct although her knees were a little questionable. She possessed an excellent disposition and could not be faulted for gameness.
As a producer
Designated as a Reine-de-Course by pedigree analyst Ellen Parker, Numbered Account produced 10 named foals, of which six started and five won. Her important foals are as follow:

Foaled in Kentucky, Numbered Account was bred and owned by Ogden Mills Phipps. She was trained by Roger Laurin. She spent her broodmare career at Claiborne Farm and was buried there after being found dead in her paddock in August 1996.
