Considered the best American juvenile of his year after a powerful victory in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (USA-G1), Rhythm had the pedigree and looks to give hopes of Classic success at 3. Unfortunately, he did not have the temperament and proved an unreliable runner, though one with enough ability to add the Travers Stakes (USA-G1) to his juvenile laurels. One of the few top sons of Mr. Prospector to be generally accounted a failure at stud, Rhythm flopped in the United States and Japan but did have some success in New Zealand, where he sired the champion mare Ethereal and others.
