The product of a cross between a stamina-laden sire and a mare by a top-class miler, Fallow made no show as a racer at 2 and was exported to Argentina in late 1959. She proved the worth of her bloodlines by becoming a top broodmare for Haras Argentino, producing eight stakes winners. Her descendants include champions in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Scandinavia.

She was imported to the United States, where she became the second dam of four stakes winners and the third dam of multiple Grade 3 winner River Squall. She is also the third dam of Brazilian Group 2 winner Urban Habitat.
- Factory (1966, by Idle Hour) won the 1970 Premio Arturo R. Bullrich and Premio Miguel Angel y Tomas Celman, both now Group races in Argentina. She is the dam of 1983 Premio Otoño (ARG-G2) winner Factorial (by Dancing Moss) and is the third dam of 2004 Gran Premio O.S.A.F.
